How Etchings are Made
Brian creates the images by etching directly onto Stone. The images are scratched into the surface using a diamond tipped tool. The image is then scanned at a high resolution, maximizing each and every stroke. The scan is then reproduced on natural stone, (Granite or Polished Slate) using the latest technology and high definition laser-etching techniques. After being laser-etched, the image is hand re-touched and signed by the artist giving each image a one-of-a-kind, exquisitely detailed piece. |
